Description
Transitional Housing is available for homeless women and children in Ashtabula.
A womans length of stay is dependent on her needs and progress toward goals. To be eligible, a woman must be homeless according to HUD definition.
The women who participate in this program live in fully-furnished apartments. During their stay at Beatitude House, the women are offered weekly group and individual counseling sessions, where they can work on goal setting and self-esteem building. An onsite case manager assists with problems such as debt reduction and budgeting, health concerns, childcare, coordinating with childrens schools, helping with transportation, and navigating other social service agencies.
Transitional Housing helps women overcome the barriers that originally led to homelessness and prepares them to move into permanent housing.
